RofiConnect ("we", "us", or "our") is a pet community and commerce platform operated by Daysam Solutions and designed for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the RofiConnect mobile application.

By registering or using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, password, user type (Pet Owner or Veterinarian), and location (city/region). Veterinarians must also provide professional credentials, a veterinary licence/ID, and clinic details for verification.

Pet Profile Data

Pet owners may provide pet names, species, breed, date of birth, weight, gender, colour, profile photos, vaccination records, medical history, current medications, and personal journal notes.

Usage Data

We collect anonymised data about how you interact with the app, including screens visited, features used, articles read, and reminders created. This helps us improve platform performance.

Device & Technical Data

We may collect your device type, operating system version, push notification token, and general location (city level) for the purpose of showing nearby veterinary clinics. Precise GPS coordinates are only accessed when you explicitly use the map feature.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and pet profiles.
• To verify veterinarian credentials and display verified profiles in our directory.
• To send push notifications for reminders, vaccination alerts, and medication schedules you set.
• To display relevant vet articles and personalised content recommendations.
• To operate the points and marketing store system for verified veterinarians.
• To comply with applicable laws in the UAE (PDPL), Saudi Arabia (PDPL), and Egypt.
• To improve and monitor the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

4. Veterinarian Document Handling

Veterinary licence documents and professional credentials uploaded during registration are used exclusively for identity verification by our admin team. These documents are stored in secure, access-controlled cloud storage (encrypted at rest and in transit via TLS 1.2+), are never shared with third parties, and are retained only as long as the account is active or as required by law.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Cloud hosting, push notification services, and analytics providers under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal Requirements: When required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Egypt.
• Public Profile Data: Verified veterinarian profiles (name, clinic, speciality, published articles) are visible to all app users by design.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory obligations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
• Object to processing for marketing purposes.

8. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Sensitive documents (vet licences) are stored in access-controlled cloud storage. We conduct regular security reviews of our systems.

RofiConnect is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification. Your continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
